Same Drinks. Less sugar.

We've Cut The Sugar

We've Cut The Sugar

CAPI sodas have always been made with flavour at the forefront - and now, they’re evolving with the times. Over the next few months, you’ll start to see our fruit sodas shift to a lower sugar formula. Not sugar-free. Not sweetener-heavy. Just a lighter touch, designed to suit the modern Australian palate.

We’ve fine-tuned the sugar in each drink to strike the right balance - full flavour, less excess. All while keeping the same crisp, clean finish you know and love.

Tastes change. So do we.

Tastes change. So do we.

Across Australia, consumers are rethinking their sugar consumption—not eliminating it entirely, but consciously reducing it. The Australian Beverages Council reports that the industry has achieved an 18% reduction in sugar across non-alcoholic beverage portfolios since 2015, with a goal of 25% by 2025. This shift is evident as more Australians opt for lower-sugar and no-sugar drink options.

While younger Australians aged 18 to 34 are leading this movement, it's gaining momentum across all age groups and our new recipes are a response to this change: lighter, more balanced, but still unmistakably CAPI.

Frequently Asked

Frequently Asked

Which products are changing?

We’re updating the sugar content in our fruit sodas and classic mixers. Our tonics will stay the same.

Will these still taste the same?

Our core taste profiles remain the same, however the drinks are now lighter on the palate, with a slightly brighter profile that makes them more sessionable.

Are you using any artificial sweeteners or sugar substitutes?

No artificial sweeteners here - we’ve simply lowered the sugar, keeping enough to support flavour without overdoing it.
